- Some of the organizations that are responsible for the protocol standards used today are as follows:

# معهد المهندسين الكهربائيين والالكترونيين او (IEEE): مسئول عن نشر نتاج مجموعة العمل (IEEE 802) الذي يتضمن المعايير التي تعرف البروتوكولات المعروفة بالاسم الايثرنت والتوكن رينغ.

# Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE): responsible for the publication of the IEEE 802 working group, which includes the standards that define the protocols commonly known as Ethernet and Token Ring.

# المؤسسة الدولية لتوحيد المعايير او (ISO): مسئولة عن نشر الطراز OSI المرجعي.

# International Organization for Standardization (ISO) responsible

for the publication of the OSI reference model document.

# المعهد الوطني الامريكي للمعايير او (ANSI).

# American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

# فريق عمل هندسة الانترنت او (IETF): تطوير ونشر معايير لتقنيات الانترنت من بينها البروتوكولات TCP/IP.

# Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF): develop and publish standards for Internet technologies, including the TCP/IP protocols.

# جمعية الاتصالات عن بعد / اتحاد الصناعات الالكترونية او TIA/EIA: مؤسستان اتحدتا سوية لتطوير ونشر معايير اسلاك الاتصالات عن بعد في المباني . التي تعرف كيف يجب تمديد الكبلات لشبكات البيانات.

# Telecommunications Industry Association/Electronic Industries Alliance (TIA/ EIA): Two organizations that have joined together to develop and publish the Commercial Building Telecommunications Wiring Standards, which define how the cables for data networks should be installed.

# قطاع توحيد معايير الاتصالات عن بعد في الاتحاد الدولي للتصالات عن بعد او (ITU-T): مؤسسة دولية تتعاون فيها الحكومات والقطاع الخاص لتنسيق عمل شبكات وخدمات الاتصال عن بعد ولاحداث تقدم في تطوير تقنية الاتصالات واسمها القديم (CCITT).

# Telecommunication Standardization Sector of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU-T): An international organization within which governments and the private sector work together to coordinate the operation of telecommunication networks and services and to advance the development of communications technology ITU-T was formerly known as the Comité Consultatif International Téléphonique et Télégraphique (CCITT).

- احد اهم الاشياء التي يجب تذكرها عن تشبيك الكمبيوتر:

هو ان كل الكمبيوترات الشبكية تستعمل عدة بروتوكولات خلال عملية التواصل وكل تلك البروتوكولات تعمل سوية لتشكيل مكدس البروتوكولات.
