التمرين 1-2: تعريف أنواع كبلات الشبكة

طابق كل نوع من أنواع كبل الشبكة في العمود الأيمن بالوصف في العمود الأيسر الأقرب إليه.

1. UTP                                    أ. يستعمل في طوبولوجيا الباص

2. الألياف الضوئية الأحادية الصيغة     ب. يستعمل لشبكات التوكن رينغ الأصلية

3. STP                                    ج. يستعمل لشبكات الايثرنت الغيغابت

4. الكبل المتحد المحور                    د. يحتوي على ثمانية أسلاك

5. UTP من الفئة 5e                    هـ. يستعمل للشبكات LAN التي تغطي مسافات

التمرين 2-2: حل مشكلات الشبكة

لكل سيناريو من السيناريوهات التالي، حدد إذا كانت الشبكة ستعمل بشكل صحيح أم لا بناءً على المعلومات المذكورة. إذا لا، اشرح السبب.

1. تسعة كمبيوترات فيها بطاقات شبكة الايثرنت السريع 100Base-T4 موصولة بموزع كبلات باستعمال كبلات مجدولة غير مغلفة من الفئة 3 طولها 100 متر.

2. الشبكات في مبنيين يبعدان 1000 متر عن بعضهما موصولتان باستعمال كبل ألياف ضوئية أحادية الصيغة مع موصلات RJ-45.

3. ثمانية كمبيوترات موصولة بشبكة توكن رينغ باستعمال طوبولوجيا حلقة مادية.

4. شبكة ايثرنت سريع منشأة باستعمال معدات 100Base-TX وكبل مجدول غير مغلف من الفئة 5e، مع تكريس زوجين من أزواج الأسلاك في الكبل لإشارات البيانات والزوجين الآخرين لإشارات الهاتف الصوتية.

التمرين 2-3: التمديد الداخلي والخارجي للكبلات

لكل سيناريو من سيناريوهات الشبكة التالية، اذكر ما إذا كنت ستنفذ تمديد داخلي أو خارجي للكبلات وأعط سببا لذلك.

1. شركة موسمية تنشئ شبكة UTP من 10 عقد في مكتب مؤقت.

2. شبكة UTP من 100 عقدة لإحدى الشركات يتم تركيبها في مبنى مكاتب مشيد حديثا.

3. يتم نقل شبكة إيثرنت سميك من 50 عقدة إلى مكان جديد.

Exercise 2-1: Identifying Network Cable Types

Match each network cable type in the left column with the description in the right

column that is most closely associated with it.

Exercise 2-2: Cable Troubleshooting

For each of the following scenarios, specify whether the network will function properly based on the information given. If not, explain why.

1. Nine computers with 100Base-T4 Fast Ethernet network interface adapters are connected to a hub using 100-meter lengths of CAT3 UTP cable.

2. Networks in two buildings 1000 meters away from each other are connected using singlemode fiber-optic cable with RJ-45 connectors.

3. Eight computers are connected to a Token Ring network using a physical ring topology.

4. A Fast Ethernet network is constructed using 100Base-TX equipment and CAT5e UTP cable, with two of the wire pairs in the cable dedicated to data signals and the other two to voice telephone signals.

Exercise 2-3: Internal and External Cabling

For each of the following network scenarios, state whether you would perform an internal or external cable installation and give a reason why.

1. A 10-node UTP network is installed in a temporary office space by a seasonal business.

2. A 100-node corporate UTP network is being installed in a newly constructed office building.

3. A 50-node Thick Ethernet network is being moved to a new location.
